Moderators on here are key to safety and monitoring abusive mails and identified fake profiles but should they be allowed to ping you and read your mails for personal reasons invading your privacy ?

No one on this site should read your mails without your consent, A it breach of privacy laws and B,it morally abhorrent, There are exceptions of course .but even that is grey area ,but as a general rule if you no threatening to kill someone the a big fat no,no,no,no,no,no, we are not living in fascist state yet

Depends on what is being duscussed. I presume they have something that looks for specific words.

You cannot discuss payments for instance and if anyone offers money they should be reported.

Admin ate damned if they do their job and damned when they don't. Can't be easy.

mods dont run around reading folks mail....... but if someone reported you then I guess they can check out the claims and take action.

Like Falcon has said if you have used specific words in chat or messages they may look into to investigate if its outwith the site rules.

I would imagine when you signed up the small print very few of us read covers this in extreme circumstances. Vertical keywords or someone reporting you though they should be reading the mail you sent to the reportee not your private mail

Are yoù sure this person is a mod and not some crazy person uve fallen out with who has maybe a 2nd profile?

I find it hard to believe a mod would read your emails then mail you to tell you they had done so

It's the internet! Absolutely anything and everything can be breached or read if someone or mods are determined to. Whats app messages, e-mails, facebook etc. Surely people must realise that if you sign up for anything these days your details and content could be fair game. Not saying its right but it's naive to think your messages are completely private.

This is quite worrying to think that mods could have access to peoples private emails .

Hopefully a mod or admin will clarify if this is the case or not

I mean absolutely no disrespect to mods on here, they have a thankless task, but this is what happens when there is no independent, site funded admin. Surely if we pay subs that service can be funded? Also making admin more accessible, impartial and accountable. How many times have issues appeared and not been dealt with timeously because no admin were online often causing added upset and needless distress ? Just my thoughts....

If you click the contact admin button you can send a message to the site owners.

Send them a message and offer to send them proof. I'm sure they will contact you so they can investigate.

Sadly this site doesn't have any way for the rest of us to know who's a mod or not, also that contact admin button is an absolute waste of time and effort as no one ever replies to it. I'd love to know who are the mods on here, like any other site it normally is listed who's who, on here I'm sure certain people hide behind mod status

It should be like in the chatroom. Where Mods have a star* next to their usernames to be identified

I've had to contact admin twice in the short time I've had this profile and they've got back to me both times and resolved my issues. Granted, one of the problems was partly caused by them in the first place, but they do reply
