Hi all

I'm considering braces to sort out my wonky teeth. Any advice on dealing with it as an adult would be much appreciated x

Really wish I'd taken this step, either as a child or later in life (when it was free lol) to sort out my wonky teeth. Console myself that they just add to my natural charm later in life!!

I had them as a teenager, theyre painful and hard work but very much worth it. My teeth were very squint, i couldn't possibly do without them so i guess its up to you if your teeth bother you enough to warrant the pain and effort then go for it.

Explain what you mean by "dealing with it"? If you mean socially as in you're worried about other people's opinions on you (as an adult) having braces I would direct you to the Mary schmich quote...

"Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday."

In 2 years time you won't give a shit about what other people thought about braces however you will have straight teeth , a smile on your face and higher self esteem

Win win

(Can you tell I'm a psychologist haha)
