A FAB easter weekend camp out

Jump to newest

Talking to a mate on here, and they said

"Do you think there would be interest in an easter weekend camp out"

So as a test I'm throwing it out there. If easter is to soon , then say first weekend in may.

I know there's been a few in the past but over towards Edinburgh way , how about one in Glasgow area , location suggestions welcome.

Or would be better communicating locations by pms to one another

Any and all suggestions welcome

I go camping and hillwalking as much as possible but a fab camp out is not for me.

I'm sure there will be a few interested people so if you do go ahead, hope you all have a great time

Cheers buddy, it was just an idea I go all over myself. As I said I remember there being a few in the past. Doesn't have to be shenanigans , just a meet n laugh, be good to put a few names to faces , or basically a chill night . As I said it was only a suggestion

Looking for ideas from everyone and anyone

kl, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying its a bad idea, I think you should go ahead with it if there's interest which there would, just depending on the area for folk.

It's just not my thing. I've been camping for over 20 years off and on and I like what I like and have made many wonderful friends doing it along the way.

Over there

I have a suspicion that meeting strangers en-masse in a remote field, in Scottish 'easter weather' may exclude a few fabbers....

We couldn't make it as we have so much on but if it works out and another's planned sometime during the summer holidays we would definitely try make it then.

Truth be known we were talking about camping anyway, and my mate asked if I thought there would be much interest

Hence the reason I put up the thread,

You never know

Nothing wrong with a sausage fest.. add in a little oil and a very hot frying pan and it's a winner

Sounds fun. Maybe not all weekend but one night away. I only had my first camping experience last year with friend off fab, wanted it ticked off my bucket list, the heated mashmallows didn't live up to my expectations and my back felt like was broken in half. Fishing is also on my list of to do but knowing me I would take someone's eye oot with the rod xx
