"Had to have my prostrate removed six weeks ago.now I can't get an erection.any ideas/help I feel so depressed. " 6 weeks is not that long ago! Speak to your GP. Leave a message with your surgeon's secretary for a call back. Don't hesitate to ask for counselling sessions for support. But also give your body time to heal! Sounds like your mind needs some healing too! Don't put too much pressure on yourself. You need time to recover. Good luck and speedy recovery OP.

"Thanks so much for your reply.I knew this would be the place to get advice and help.know follow up from hospital as yet. But good to be alive. " Pester them and your GP too if you feel the need! Don't wait for the follow-up letter. Depression, other feelings, worries and questions you have now have to be tackled sooner rather than later. So, get on the phone to your GP Angie

"Thank you,so much for your input.was giving nothing in advance about groups nothing from. Urology.just feel so lost. Getting a lot of good advice on here.its been a good starting point for me." Glad you are finding this helpful on here. That is poor you've been left to deal with this alone when there's so much support out there. Maybe try Prostate Cancer UK website for some info? X

"A friend of mine had major surgery, wasn't prostrate but still life changing. He doing his sperm went watery and he couldn't get an errction properly. He was depressed and to "ashamed" to go to a Dr. That in my opinion was wrong, but he researched on the net and now buys a form of viagra online. He says it works a treat. But I would say GP first. " NEVER BE ASHAMED TO GO TO YOUR GP Can I be any clearer?? They will have heard it ALL before. Seen it ALL before. They will be able to help even if they have to refer you to a specialist. But don't be fobbed off. Sometimes you need to pester them. It's not right but it's what you need to do sometimes

And heard it ALL before! My son almost died because of a GP that was thinking that! Do not be embarrassed to go to your GP. Your health is precious! When you don't have it all goes pear-shape! If you are not satisfied go to another GP. If still not satisfied go to A&E. YOU know your body. Pester them till something gets done! Because at the end of the day, YOUR health is only important to you and the ones that love you!
