Has anyone tried to make their money work them in the investment world?

What has everyone done/invested in?

Yeah, I trade forex. My advice is unless you have a spare million or so keep your money under your mattress.

There's no single "sure win" trade area, otherwise everyone would do it.

I trade in stocks, UK and European, and I was doing well until brexit

Commodities have higher margins, but the higher chance of gains have the higher chance of loss. Study your market, start small then invest more... But if you're gaining, quit while you're ahead!

Go to either Business Gateway or Scottish Enterprise ... I went to SE with aspiration and vision few years back for direction... never looked back.

I wish you good luck and good fortune.

Same here with brexit, but to be fair forex has always been very volatile.

Going to study up on commodity trading as ive only ever flirted with brent.

I traded Forex too, for about 4 years. I stopped around the time of the Brexit vote as the volatility became high and the market has continued to be unpredictable for my system. I made a few quid, but as a cautious investor would only risk what I could afford to lose.

My advice, choose an investment with which you are comfortable with the risk, don't expect to get rich overnight, but a long term view will make you a lot of money if you don't panic/watch every market move.

Good luck OP and let us know how it all works out.
