How important is a username on Fab?

Can they be a turn off for you? Make you delete a message without reading? Etc... you get my drift

Did you think long and hard about yours??

I think certain usernames will put some people off contacting them but as with anything here on Fab that's personal choice...I was on site previously as Cassidy Boy and then took a sabbatical so when I returned I just shortened it to cassb...

I have deleted messages without reading messages or looking at profiles because of someone's username so I guess for me they matter somewhat - although they were something along the lines of "mrgrey2useyou" or something - I rolled my eyes and deleted their message. Lol.

We love our username, comes from a really important quote for us at the very start of our relationship. Weirdly put off by overtly sexual usernames on single male profiles but not single female ones, how's that for double standards?

I see a lot of new single female profiles pop up from time to time with usernames like cuminmyhole etc that makes me think it's really a guy, then again I've seen similar older names clicked on their profile and they have loads of verifications.

I also skip buy any that have any reference to politics or football like 1888 or 1690, I'm quite into politics and do support one of the big two but when it comes to a site like this I think it's best to leave it out.

Interesting question OP.

I picked a username that I thought would get me the right sort of attention. I didn't put a huge amount of thought into it but did put some.

Maybe someone could tell me if it's a good one or not.

I can say that 100% usernames have an impact on me. Some usernames tell me straight off that they're not for me and others draw me in, in a big way!
