Hello,

We are completely new to the scene.

We are interested in visiting after 8 or cj's but we are abit concerned as we both have professional occupations.

I've read online about clubs getting raided etc.... And them being illegal. Is this the case?

We really want to go but just worrying abit. I messaged one club and they said they have never had any problems but just wanted to put it out there to make sure.

Can't speak for CJ's as it's in Glasgow, but the After 8 is fully licensed and completely legal. Remember they're not brothels, and it's not against the law to swing!

If you are at all worried about that, make a weekend of it and venture down south. Anonymity and more relaxed surroundings for you to enjoy a trip to a club.

As far as I'm aware they are BOTH fully licensed and comply with all laws and regulations.

So I wouldn't worry about any problems.

If you're nervous, contact the owners before hand. I'm sure they will be more than happy to allay any fears you may have and show you around when you arrive.

May be look at the feedback on the Clubs in the Club section.

If you are new to the scene and this is your first profile, I would suggest you find your feet first.

By your post, I would say, get to know the scene, the people, go to socials and then take it to Clubs.

I done a Google search about swingers clubs in Scotland and it brought up an old post from fab. The post said the club's are illegal in Scotland and occasionally get raided. That's why I asked the question really.

This is our first profile and are brand new to the scene.

We've been here for 4 years and never heard of this happening anywhere.

Yes, Scottish laws are different to English laws, which would explain why there are so few clubs in Scotland, but they've been operating for years and I'm sure they're all above board.

You don't have anything to worry about. We all want discretion and if there was a danger then these clubs wouldn't have gotten off the ground.

People (ourselves included) have very preconceived ideas of what a club is like and 9 times out of 10 it's way off... I think clubs are an excellent introduction into this lifestyle as you can spend all night just chatting and being social without any feeling of obligation. If you meet someone you don't click with for whatever reason you can just move along.

Yeah I think you are definitely right in what you are saying.

We definitely want to come along but just had a few doubts. Probably similar to what most people think before their first time.

Why don't you consider going along with someone on Fab? Loads of people on here go to both clubs and would probably be happy to introduce you, much less daunting for some.

Also, Some people put a thread up with a date on the forum saying they are going or asking who is going.

Once, I commented saying I was going to Cjs alone and out the blue a lovely lady messaged me saying she will be there, sent face pic and said to come say hi if I needed someone!

We can only get in on a Friday, but would be more than happy to meet up before hand if you are ever free on that night.

I think they only do the TV/Bi night on Thursdays at After 8. Yea, we get a Thursday and Friday off as he works Sat. Well if anything comes along that you want to go to and we're also going, let me know. Xx
