"My brother in law is a chef and gave me this recipe for a curry sauce. He didn't give quantities as he works in bulk, so alter the spices to your taste. Onions Peppers Mushrooms Veg oil Cumin Gara masala Curry powder tikka Garlic Ginger Chilli powder Fresh coriander Chopped tomatoes (I use 2 tins) Sugar/sweetener Tomato ketchup/purée Veg or chicken stock Sweat the onions, mushrooms & peppers with the spices Add the tomatoes, stock and sweetener Add diced meat of your choice (I use chicken) Cook on a low heat for 20/30 mins or until ready " Sounds pretty good, I'll have to give it a go | |||

"Yeah was going to say I'd probably start a teaspoon and gauge it from there. Hmm I've not made lasagne in a while, I do a very nice Spag Bol though. My problem is I rarely work from a recipe and tend to improvise" Same, I'm trying to make foods I like syn free as I've been doing slimming world | |||

"Chicken chow mein Slice chicken into thin strips In a wok add about 1 cup of water and put on high heat. Add your chicken for about 3 to 5 mins and then place into a bowl. Tip some of the water away leaving just a covering in the bottom of your wok. Add to this some seasoned oil (email me n I'll tell you how to do it). Put around 2 to 3 tblespns of dark soya sauce and light soya sauce each. Slice about 2 onions about 1cm slices put then into the wok turn your heat down to medium lightly cook. Add a bag of bean sprouts. Take a bunch of spring onions chop into 1cm pieces add to pan. Put your chicken back into the wok. Add some black n white pepper Keep mixing all together. Turn the heat up then serve n enjoy. " Sounds delicious, will definitely be giving that one a go | |||
