Hi guy's, I turn 50 next Friday and training for the half marathon this year ,doing it for a couple of charities (parkinsons & cancer)so any training tips will be very much appreciated

I find the Running apps very helpful.

Interval training for speed.

Long run for resistance.

Make sure to have rest days.

And download the right tunes to keep you going!

Am doing a 5k run in May for Cancer Research. So am training too to beat my personal time.

Are you starting from scratch or have you run before

Check out Great Run web site for training schedules

Download some playlists to match your runni g cadence as it helps with pace

Take it sensibly and try avoid injuries

I have been plagued over past 3 years and am reaching point I may have to retire
