"Can someone explain what is burns night everyone keeps talking about? Its a scottish tradition celebrating the life and work of robert burns, a scottish poet. Firstly we head for the hills and catch our haggis (plural haggi). Now just like our whisky it can taste different depending on whether you catch a highland haggis or a lowland haggis. Its then plucked, deboned and beheaded before being cooked. Its traditionally served with tatties (mashed potatoes) and neeps(mashed turnip). Enjoy x"

"I'd rather celebrate Burns Night than St Patrick's Day, as many confused Scots choose to do. " totally agree. Born and bred Scots never been to Ireland and then go all 'begorah begorah' on St Patricks Day...get right on my tits. Same with Publicans who go OTT...

"I'd rather celebrate Burns Night than St Patrick's Day, as many confused Scots choose to do. " Damn annoying. I'm quarter Irish but wouldn't even think of dressing up like a fucking leprechaun. We should get St Andrew's Day as a public holiday and ban Guinness publicity day! However Wtf does eating haggis have to do with Burns? Just cos he wrote one poem about it. I already had haggis twice this year, so went to McDonald's on way home from work.
