Myself and Ginger were speaking the other night about arranging meets etc and we both started to wonder about how you decide where abouts and what type of place to choose?

Do you try and judge where the people you are meeting might like best, somewhere quiet and out of the way or just go for somewhere thats popular and well known or pick a place you both really enjoy yourselves

Usually the folk I meet have some form of restriction so I leave it to them to decide.

Personally you wanna pick a place that both you would like, you two want to feel comfortable. You can obviously get a feel for the person(s) your meeting and might decide somewhere else It's good to try and judge where to go but you really, if its a social, want to get to know the people and find out if they tick your boxes and the same applies for them. Lets put it this way if they decide to meet you its cause you interest them.

A nice busy place is kl but as long as not too noisy, you wanna be able to hear each other chat loll

Thats along the lines we were thinking Horsey but then its all the different what, ifs and buts lol

If Ginger had her way all our meets would be in Viva Brazil while i would prefer a nice Gastropub on the outskirts of the city or one of the smaller bars on bath street

E.K . Glasgow

Somewhere both parties feel would suit within easy travel distance and discrete enough that both parties wouldn't bump into someone they knew

Usually somewhere where tables army close by each other so you can chat a little more freely ....somewhere central is good also so a night can end be made of it too.

Thanks for all the helpful replies

One thing we both thought about was how the choice of venue could reflect on yourselfs.

Would that make a difference to anybody?

Yeah I get what you mean, there's a difference between a coffee house or a pub, and McDonald's

Even if its just the type of bar you chose,

Would think different about meeting if they suggested the Oriental bar than if they said Citation??

Between having the kids and work, a mid morning or lunchtime coffee is about the best we can manage right now

And even then we have still to have an actual meet

We use a coffee shop nearby, just to see if the guys can carry on a conversation. If we are meeting a couple, a wee spot in town. Again, our focus is on spark and chemistry. Usually just drinks though, so gastropub us good, although we have met a couple on the social on a busy night!

On a side note.... Ginger's idea of viva Brazil is awesome. That would be a great meet up
