What do you reckon on the chances of the ferry running on Friday? Got relations coming up to stay for Xmas, not looking good.

Glasgow

At least one return sailing has been cancelled on Friday and an extra one laid on tomorrow... I wouldn't be too optimistic

Argyll

Latest forecast is very strong winds Fri through Sat morning, then a lull of a few hours before the next one hits - likely no ferries I would think.

Calmac are playing it safe, if they could cancel everything they would.

Inverness

Not a chance there will be a ferry Friday, it's horrendous.

Skye is already full of SSE vans and backup generators and local hotels are being asked to prepare to feed people and use them as rest centres.

We are used to it though, got my kilted sausages pre cooked and a 12 hour Ups on my broadband so I can still be online with the power off lol
