I was coming home from a works night out when I heard about. The reality of what happened could be seen in the morning.

I was working with Glasgow City Council and they asked us workers for volunteers to go down and help.

I cried for weeks after

My thoughts are with the victims and their families

So very very sad found out years later a work colleague used to live there before moving to Edinburgh and his youngest would have been in that class. God rest their souls xx

I was traveling along the A74, that night it was the eeriest feeling seeing the sky light up like it did, just knew it was something very bad that happened in the distance, then the news started breaking through,

I remember it like it was yesterday. As a 10 year old I knew it was bad, but wasn't until i got older I realised the enormity of it.

Lockerbie always has been, and always will be a great community and always rally when its needed.

One of the things I miss about not living there anymore, but equally one of yhe things I love about going down visiting friends and family. The people never change x

A family member in the emergency services attended Lockerbie. He was a very experienced person and had seen many, many incidents. He said it was the worst he had ever seen and never went on a plane again... My thoughts are with everyone who has experienced a loss as this time of year can be hardest for them but when the loss is as mindless as this it must be even harder.

I had a friend who's parents lived on the Street where the main part of the plane came down, luckily they were on holiday and their house had only minor damage when they came home

Was living in carlisle at time and remember the call for medical and emergency services personnel to go to the scene broadcast on Border telly

Drove past the scene a week later - horrifying

West Fife

A bit like JFK in Dallas, I think we all know where we were when this happened, I certainly do and think of those lost for no reason.

Like 9/1, 11/7, Nice and Berlin, none of these tragic events will disolve human resolve to live together without fear or intimidation.

Remember it vividly. .was year I left home when I signed for team in London and was travelling home that night for xmass with my family ...every one on coach was moaning an shouting about being stuck for hours on hours in traffic, till we passed Lockerbie and seen just some of the carnage. and it slowly filtered through what had happened an the coach became eerily silent the rest of the journey. ...such a disappointment the government never done more to exact the truth of who was realy involved !!!
