When I lived at mums, we always went to midnight mass. Usually half cut, and sang our wee hearts out.

I miss that now

My Christmas eve tradition was to take the kids out for dinner then on to the panto & then home to bed for santa coming ...I miss doing that

My wee traditions are nothing fancy but the kids get to open theit present santa dropped off for Xmas eve, contains sweets, hot chocolate, new pjs, reindeer food and treats for santa, started before the big Xmas eve box came out lol, Xmas morning we always have rolls sausage or bacon for breakfast, and new years eve is panto night to give them something to enjoy after Xmas buzz xx

We're lucky our two are still young. We do them both a Christmas eve box. New pyjamas, a DVD, few treats and an early Christmas present. Mrs is at work this year , but she will be in for the evening at least.

Mine was to spend Christmas Eve with my best friend and doing the craziest thing we could think of for the fun of it sad don't see him as much as he's ussualy watching his step son or whatever it's classed as

24th/25th are the main dates in France as we don't have a Boxing day.

So Christmas Eve, I cook something light but special.

At midnight, I put my miniature baby Jesus in the nativity set

Sort of a tradition, Christmas day till New Year's Day, I cook and bake more complex stuff that I don't have the time to do/try during the year.

Also, I always have an extra plate with cutlery ready to welcome any unexpected visitor.

Tradition is I usually hide away in the kitchen for a couple of hours and do the cooking and leave the others to get on with the festive carousing

Happy if I've got a glass or two of a nice red and some and decent music to listen to

A world of my own

Its not a tradition I like but seems to be the norm. Once the boys are all asleep on Xmas eve, I do hours of wrapping their gifts whilst crying about being lonely! I then write each of them a letter from santa and make Santa footprints from talc. usually end up going to bed exhausted about 4am
