Fair play to you ladies, but what about the single guys, do you bother ?. and the fact I don't get visitors seems a waste of time to me.

Hahaha, yea my daughter and grandkids did that to me a few years ago, as soon as they had left I took it all down again, felt quite silly with them up being on my own.

But its not there for you.... its for everyone else to enjoy... especially any little visitors.

I know where your coming from though. Why bother if your not getting visitors, or going to be at home much..... and when I lived alone putting up my tree and stuff actually made me feel very alone

Never really thought about it. I spend the day with my daughter, eating and drinking and watching random shit on telly. Or Disney films...

Single most this year and a father but have not put any decorations up this year at all. Kids do not seem to mind either when they come up.

That being said though it was a marathon of xmas movies today when they where all up.

Last year was the first year I was on my own for years. I didn't put up any decorations but then I didn't take any when I moved out.

So far this year I haven't had the urge to go and buy any and I don't see that changing.

Bah humbug!

Being single I won't be putting up a tree, if I find a bit of tinsel, might put it round the mirror, easier to tidy away in January, and a lot less depressing when all that glitter and lights have to be removed during the January blues, bah humbug

I do everything, even though I'm single.....decorating the house, tree, lights, cards, etc. Why can singles celebrate Christmas same as couples?

A world of my own

I've been single 8 years. I do the tree and decorations etc for my boys. That said I probably still would without them. I miss out on so many of the happy couple moments I won't give up on that too
