nothing between them have had both stuck with the xbox for no other reason than I have lots of friends on xbox. So if your grandkids had previous generation machines stick with that one

What he said, the new Xbox one s has better cpu gpu and a 4k blue ray player but literally you're better asking what their friends play as I wanted a ps4 but all my friends have Xbox.

Xbox is and always has been far superior if they are into online gaming, if they don't play online I'd say they're evenly matched

I say X-Box One, but then that's what I've got.

The huge benefit of it is the back-catalogue of X-Box 360 titles, although not all work, but they're apparently increasing the compatibility list with each slew up updates.

I agree with whats been said before. Have an xbox one myself but the key thing is try and find out what their friends have.

The one s is also in some cracking deals the now from most retailers

I've got an Xbox, but as has been said above, there are pros and cons to both. XBox Gold is great, and relatively cheap - and it gives you at least two free games a month.

But, as I understand it, the PS is a superior purely *gaming* machine.

But having said that - I'd certainly find out what their friends have first.
