No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

Maybe it just me but have others noticed the amount of people having a go at newbies for posting topics that have been coverd many times before ?

I think its awful the amount of posts that have gone sour because regulars have said been done or here we go again

and then had a rant about it ...come on give these people a chance how are they ment to know the post has been done before or not if they are new just be nice and if it bothers you that much then dont add to the post .

I totally agree. I've been the victim of this before and it gets right up my nose!

Took me quite a while to figure the forums out when I first joined as when you're encouraged to join in and get to know people, you might not know you can search the posts for the same topic you want to find out about. Next thing is you get shot down in flames by the forum bullies who can't resist trying to exert their superior attitude.

If you don't have anything worthwhile to say or you can't be civil in saying it, move on to the next post!

I think you make a good point Jac but would add the following:

sometimes if the forums regulars don't answer ( albeit, a positive reply is preferred) I have seen threads with no replies.. and that can be as rude. Then folks say newbies are ignored.

if regulars post too often, they are accused of hogging the forums.. similar to the regular chatters and the clique word rears it ugly head.

Often it's not what people say, maybe the way it is said OR APPEARS to be said as everyone interupts differently.

What does irk is when people post asking for advice, information etc and people take the time to post.. and they never even come back to acknowledge they have noted what has been offered, let alone say thank you..eg..Bi cafe.

It is not always to newbies that people go too far .. people gang up on certain posters/chatters.

Best ignored/reported.

but chat and the forums offer a lots of laughs/enjoyment to many.. and that's FAB

Yeah i totaly agree with all you have said too _iew but i was looking on it from a newbies point of _iew as you know too well ive been on the recieving end of it too but know people too well around here by now but if i was a newbie on the end of it i wouldnt stick around too long i dont think.

As for ones asking for advice and not thanking people for giving advice on their post then yes i agree 100% its is very rude .

I sometimes "new thread/same topic" or go flicking through the pages to add to existing topic.

I agree the zero response to some decent asks/topics, is a bit rude.

What irks me is the would u shag etc the person above , i know its a bit of fun , but there have been so many of these posts around and always the same folks posing on it , surely they must have made a list of possible shags by now , or is it just lack of imagination ?
