being one of the 87% - as someone posted a little while ago - a single guy, I'm confused by the fab etiquette ...

I like to know if couples, or ladies are interested .. obviously - but also if they are not.

I have loads of sent messages that are marked 'been read' and then nothing else. Now I'm guessing this means 'not interested' ... but I'm guessing.

Here's why I'm confused - if someone isn't interested why don't they just hit the 'delete' button that appears when you open a message .... its just one click after all.

would make life a whole lot easier that's for sure ... a no is as helpful, if not as much fun, as a yes - a 'nothing' is just useless

A world of my own

I don't even delete in bulk. I just leave them. The site does it automatically after a while.

Firstly you can help yourself by stop checking your sent mail . There is nothing posative to gain from it and nothing you can do after a message is sent.

Secondly silence is a response and yes if ppl are interested they would reply .

As for a simple no ... I'm afraid there is nothing simple about it in alot of cases . It just opens up a conversation that's going no where with "well why not" and ifs and buts . That's if they don't just kick off and go from stunning to slapper so quick you could sue for whip lash lol . Just a can of worms not worth even opening .

You can't change what others do but you do have control on why you look at things and reaction to them .

Pretty much what I was gonna say.

I've been shown women's boxes (ooeer, mailboxes I mean haha), and they get a ton of mail so can imagine it'd be a full time job trying to manage that.

Hi, after you've sent your message just delete it that way you don't keep looking at your sent box thinking yae or nae, if they're interested they will reply. Jim

This and what Oldie said... No one is obliged to answer you even though it is nice to get a reply. Sometimes females get dozens of messages so even a simple no becomes something you just don't have time for in a busy day (I do try to do so though). However as temptress said sometimes the person still tries to engage you in conversation hoping to change your mind so saying no is often exasperating when you have given the polite no and the person continues to message. The site does say a non response is a polite no thanks so as others have said you're only stressing yourself. Good luck though and Happy Fabbing.
