Yeah we know, the paia for most on here.

Does anybody else find that couples tend to be more reliable than single guys?

The sort(s) that get in touch and arrange to meet but when the day comes they always cancel.

Always seems to be single guys although to be fair we have not met any couples on here.

Years ago when I (the male part) was on the scene couples seemed to be vry reliable.

Yeah. I know alot of people can take the view of "yeah everybody says that" or "stop crying about it" lol but its hard to not get frustrated.

Totally understand the ratio of guys arguement too. But that doesnt stop me (or whoever else) being genuine

No other than one single guy every other one has arrived at the agreed time, been extremely respectful and we have had a great night. That's in almost 8 years so I'd say it's down to how you choose them x

In my experience, it has been 50:50 but to be fair to the single guys, at least I usually got a stoopid excuse from them can't say the same for Couples, they just stopped replying to texts on the day the meet was arranged

But it is like everything you cannot generalise

As said above its about 50/50.

Never been let down by a single guy.

Another reason we stick to the clubs.

I think there is a lot more single guys on fab than there is single girls, couples, Tv etc... so I would expect there to be more timewasters with the guys, (well that's one of the reason why they are more likely to be timewasters in amongst this group).

I have never wasted anyone's time on here and if I arrange a meet I will make sure I'm there for them and have a good laugh and banter at the very least.

I suppose we should all do our own research on potential meets within fab.

Always have an open mind as anyone on here could just drop out for any reason and disappear.

Tons of genuine, respectful guys on fab who do not go to clubs. I am one of them.

But that's your prerogative to make sure you have a good time and not wasted by being messed about.

Keep having a great time, you all hear

Can I ask your reason for not attending the clubs?

We have a had a few guys say they won't go to clubs but never give a reason.

Just curious on why not.

I mainly meet single guys and never had any timewasters. However I do like to chat for a bit before meeting and chat on phone before a meet. Also meet couples now and again too and again not had any time wasters. Now I will have dubbed myself xx

As a married chick that meets alone and with my husband I find cpls are the worst to try and arrange meets with... hence why I meet alone also

Clubs don't interest me, never have.

Previously wouldn't got to clubs because of previous job as a chance of someone recognising me and it would have had a major detrimental impact on my business, lets just say wasn't etiquette

I meet couples and girls for a reason to enjoy their company, in a chilled environment and have good laugh and fun, more relaxed and enjoyable.

However, lol, I will be at the Dundee social tonight and this is even my first social in 5 years so I thought, feck it, let people really see how an ugly fecker I am.

Anyways each to their own and if you ever get a timewaster just look at it as their loss

From what I have seen on the forum and from some messages I get, I believe some of the single guys that are interested in Clubs would not attend alone

Well I would never go to a club, simply because you don't know who else is going to be there.

And to say "well they're there for the same reason as you" doesn't, quite frankly, do it for me. They've seen me and that would be it, as far as I'm concerned!

But again that's why we like it.

We never go with the intention of having fun if there is someone we like we let them know. If they reciprocate then that's a bonus.

Yes. Couples are usually more reliable.

Single men are in the main are far less reliable. The older ones are the best. Those in their 30s and 40s are likely to turn up maybe 1 time in 3 as they don't give a shit who they mess about. "Suck it up stupid" they say.

And then they all complain they don't get meets.

Don't get me wrong ... some do turn up.

Most don't and it is intentional on their part. They don't tell you they are not coming they just dont come. Or they send a message 1 hour before they are due to be there so you cannot get anyone else. It's a form of trolling i think.

Now please tell me how to be more selective.

From another thread, posted by a couple only seeking couples, couples have a bad reputation for timewasting.

Only saying and quoting, no personal experience!

I would say thats most of those you engage with not most single guys. So the answers easy change your method of selection

We always get let down by single guys, although to be fair that is only what we are looking for at the moment and we are very particular.

Best excuse ever was 2 Saturdays ago, only a few hours before the arranged time obviously.

"the rugby goal posts blew down today, so I have to get up early to help fix them".

Yea, because that happens all the time doesn't it?

Especially when there was no wind whatsoever in the relevant area in the days before, during or after.

We are just waiting for "My Unicorn has taken ill and I have had to call the vet out".

Its the opposite for us we find that couples cancel more than anyone so far only single girls have a 100% turn up rate for us. We very rarely look for single guys tho but when we have only one has cancelled
