So this is a fab wide problem I'm sure everyone is pissed off by these days.

For example , I got talking to a couple ... Chat seems ok, some message exchanged but then realise the pics Iv seen don't quite add up.

Is there a better way to figure this out before wasting out time ... On so many occasions ?

If there's any concerns about whether couples or singles are genuine, I suppose when asking for a picture, you could request that they hold a piece of paper with something written on it that you've suggested & today's date.

Gotta be foolproof that one, no?

Well, yes, there is always that to it but you could maybe apologise and say that it isn't personal, you've had time wasters etc and you just want to make sure for your own piece of mind (and maybe safety)

if someone thinks am not genuine after chatting to me, my pics, my verifs and my daft comments on the forum

OP... I would say go with your gut feelings. If you are not sure, just be honest and say you will not take things further.

I did they where not having it lol they where so angry I asked but like you said I didn't feel safe meeting someone who i didn't even know and wanted to meet right away I was a bit wary of this and asked for that pic safe to say did not go down well at all but to be honest if I ws in the situation again i would ask again

Iv tried many of these suggested, even the well FaceTime etc etc some play along then dingy you when it comes to it and others refuse or tell me they don't have any sort of way to video call

Doesn't everyone have a camera phone these days lol

WEB CAM verification all the time...but importantly both persons must be there at same time. Funny how its always the guy that's there and the wife is out with the girls, she working, at her mothers blah blah

If they say, we don't use laptop or our web cam is broken...then say thanks but no thanks.

Why allow someone the liberty to view your profile pics and web cam (if your on)and they don't reciprocate

We've spoken to loads of couples ( aye right) who supposedly are there. Ask them for cam verification in any room. If they stall, always shows them as chancers and fakers. More than ever they go off and you've had a near escape.

We rarely chat on the phone but happy to do so if the other party requires it, and we don't cam. As we're not often together it would be difficult to do so.

Pics wise I use reverse Google search, plus my gut instinct when reading profiles.

There seems to be a lot of single twenty something bi female profiles with the same few interests, no pics or face pics around at the moment. Usually asking 'if anyone knows a xxxxx come say hi', girls wanted for kik group', 'who was in xxxx last night?' All bollocks, report and block

By all means use all the tools at your disposal (Google image search etc) and gut instinct and report if you feel like it but don't expect much back up. It seems to me that recently site support is a one way street. I know mods are volunteers but it's time the site owners took some more stringent steps to protect individuals in my opinion.

I have very recently had personal experience of out of the blue vicious messaging for no apparent reason and fake pics being reported multiple times to no avail.

Very disappointed and disillusioned....

I've recently had a nasty message from the site and challenged them both publicly and privately with no reply whatsoever.

Zero support.

If fab wasn't the only site I use I'd leave.

We have been messaged several times by the same single guy who sets up new couples profiles and has a seemingly endless number of different women who do these pics with him. It's always "just him" free to meet. Kept blocking and kept making new accounts. We put the newbie filter on due to this.

You can tell the fakes a mile away. They're generally more aggressive. Different tone of conversation.

This has happened to us before too same guy setting up a new account every 3 days messaging us claiming to be a single male, a couple and a single fem multiple times. Wonder if it was the same dude

You would need to do it on a pc unless anyone else knows how to do it on a phone....save the image, go to google and click on images and drag the image from where it is saved into the search box...if the pic exists elsewhere on the net then google will find it....watch Catfish the tv show lol they always do it on there haha!!

We've had a few on a previous profile not so much couples but single girls especially looking for outdoor locations...really obvious guys as c'mon now single girls wanting to meet like that are holy holy grail...if it looks too good to be true it usually is in our book! Rely on gut instinct

You can skip the save as part and just click and drag the image into google image search. Another site to use when searching for "borrowed" photos is www.tineye.com catches some things google doesn't.

As for how it helps if the picture exists on the internet google should be able to find it. You will need to decide if any results for the image are dubious as some folk use pics on other sites or blogs however if all the results are from porn sites walk away.

Golden rule when it comes to the internet if it sounds to good to be true it probably is unfortunately.

too true

sometimes you get messages and chat away but you get an uneasy feeling, I juts take a step back and not bother and if its my loss then I'm sure it is but know a few have been fake so I suppose my instincts have been right sometimes lol

To get photo verified is simple enough and can be done on the day you join or go to a social/club. It is not that difficult.

If someone has been on fab for months and no verifications then they're either not planning on meeting anyone or probably fake. I save myself a lot of time ignoring those account.

On a few months and no meets?! Give us lads a break.. It's like drawing blood from a stone to get a meet on here lol.. Tinder and pof are far more chatty places to be if (actually only a tad) less explicit.. And so dates are a lot easier to get arranged. This site just needs LOTS AND LOTS of patience being a single guy no matter how 'genuine'.. But to be fair it is first and foremost a place for swingers as opposed to singles...

I'm on fab through chrome on my iPhone right now. If I go on to someone's profile and press and hold a pic, I get a pop up menu and can select 'Google search this image' from that list

Its a bit unfair to say no veris for a while and the profile is to be bypassed, single guys do get a hard time trying to meet, I read the forums a lot and see this complaint from guys, whereas ladies do have a better chance, as they get the pick of the bunch. I've been playing the patience card, for a while, and I've thought about attending socials, but due to increased anxiety recently, I rarely even go to the local for a pint, never mind meet up with a crowd of lovely strangers to get to know people to start enjoying swinging. I do agree there's a lot of fakes on the site, I'm not one of them, I have good intentions and searching for my mojo at the moment, so I make no false promises to anyone

Profile says what it does on the tin, and if someone keeps their pics private, they are entitled to do so, if it be work related, I understand, due to what I do, I could lose out on responsibilities I enjoy. Albeit, maybe I'm a bit too cautious, but that is me. Discernment and gut feeling are important to working out if you want to continue conversing with possible meets, but don't be too hasty in thinking that everyone without a veri or a picture is a fake, unless its staring you in the face as a fake, its sometimes the ones you don't expect to be great, that might just surprise you and put a smile on your face
