Where is your calm place? That special place , somewhere you can switch off and take some me time

I always go for a swim when I need to relax I love the water especially when it's quiet you will find me there enjoying a swim and a sauna bliss

Sounds weird, but I have a wee special place I go, about 5miles from me, totally isolated, and a wee bench there, where I sit and chill out

I have two places... one is my home when (much as I love my family) I get rare time to myself in it. The other is a wild and windswept place not too far from me, a long walk there is a rare treat for the soul

I practice mindfulness, which I can do anywhere.

The passengers in my car get a bit agitated about it, though.

My mum does that a wee bench along the park beside her house takes the dog and reads

A world of my own

If I really need to clear my head then I go to the beach regardless of the weather.

If I can't do that I lock myself in the bathroom and soak in the bath.

I also regularly turn my phone off to get away from everyone for a few days.

Either down the beach (some great places to go on ayrshire coast)

Or I'm able to get away from things in my own head if unable to go to beach

Between work and family life these simply isn't anywhere like that in our lives at the moment. Apart from Fab.

I used to live on the coast and the beach was my space then and I still get a sense of calm anytime I go to the beach

If I can't get to the beach then I have a place nearby...it's not quiet but I can retreat to a bench and just 'zone out'

I normally grab my tent and take my dog off camping for a few days. A couple of nights under the stars sitting at my campfire usually does the trick for me.

Inside a bubble is amazing. Looking out on the world through a technicolor haze is hard to beat. .

I enjoy a long drive as long as not dealing with motorway rush hour. Heading north west. To fort William or Inverness

Let's me sort my head space

Dunbartonshire

A long walk up the hills which takes just under two hours. Once there you are above everything and can see for miles. I just sit there and completely switch off.
