I leave it until the spoon s_ands up on its own. I can't abide tea that need resucitation because it's so weak.

As long as it takes to fish it out with my fingers thdn a couple of dunks....square teaags are best for this.......there's usually a corner poking out the water

I keep the bag dipped and assume the stance for the 30 second slow stir and add milk and sugar whilst stirring and remove when a Reddish baige colour has been achieved as for biscuits It's all calm until you see the cracks forming in chosen biscuit scrambling for the tea spoon to save your cuppa
