Kids at home

Stolen from the lounge...

Seen a few status updates and meets posted recently saying kids would be at home but would be in bed. Saw something similar in lounge earlier.

What do you guys think about having meets while kids are in bed?

Personally I wouldn't but wouldn't make judgments on people who did. I get if you have a baby they aren't going to know what's going on whereas older kids are a bit different

We were offered a meet with a cpl at theirs a while back and as they hadn't any free time, they told us the kids would be upstairs sleeping.

We didnt go but get that some people don't have free time for meets and their only solution is when the kids are sleeping.

Many years ago I was invited over to a couples place for fun. Asked me to come round after nine as the kids would be in bed then. I declined their kind offer as I'm a parent myself and could never live with myself if kid was to come downstairs and witness something they should never see. Doesn't matter what precautions you take, you can never be a hundred percent certain if kids are at home they won't walk in on you and the damage it could potentially do to them to see such things

Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable having a meet in the house when the kids are home.

I knew my boyfriend 6 months before I let him come over while the kids were here.

How do you explain it if they wake up!!!

Well that's what I woulda thought. my daughter was about 10 when John n I first met n I wouldn't have sex with him if she was at home, she's nearly 25 n I still won't if she's visiting

Whereas I don't judge people on it - I just couldn't imagine doing it. I have can't accommodate for that very reason and I know it's turned a lot of people off. It's different if it's someone you might become very comfortable with way down the line but a few meets on fab doesn't make me want to blur the lines between family life and fab life!

Although I would train the kids to say "are you my new mummy!" If it ever did happen and see how fast she would run after breakfast the next morning

I wouldn't agree to meet anyone with kids in the house, and if I turned up and there were kids around, I'd leave as soon as I found out. I've had one bad experience before, and I have no desire to repeat it.

I don't accommodate for that very reason that I usually have kids at home but I think going to places like cjs, hotels or parties makes things that little more special. Actually going out, dressing up all adds to the excitement.

I've never played with kids in the house. It's now even more difficult as they get older and you never know when they will be in or out.

I'd never play at anyone else's house with kids either. If it did get to the stage where it was more of a relationship then obviously that would be reconsidered.

Did play at someone else's house when their son came home unexpectedly from college. They managed to get them back out but it was close!

For me and without judging anyone, I don't have fun with friends and for sure I don't have fun with kids at home.

Doesn't bother me, had meets with people while their kids were asleep, had meets with 1 or 2 people during the day while their kids were still up in another room.

It's each to their own tbh

The only bad experience I had was with a woman and her wee lassies walked in on us a dunno who screamed louder them or me

We wouldn't put ourselves, our kids, or another couple in that situation. Its just not worth the risk.

We state we can't accomodate for a reason. Even when the boys stay at gran & papa's on a Sat night its still a no no. Our 18 yr old daughter comes and goes as she pleases, so we can't risk it x

Over there

No way.

So many other options to meet... I have met a few single mums on here, and always sorted babysitter and hotel or mine.
