Wonder if anyone has spared a thought for dale Evans, he must be devastated.

I know boxing is dangerous but there's no way on gods earth he could have imagined it ending up like that.

His partner has said that he'd been suffering from migraines for 2 weeks...they thought it was stress with the fight coming up.

That is terrible to hear. A young guys life snatched away. Unfortunately so many people loose their lifes under tragic circumstances but not so publicly. Rest in peace.

Really sad to hear this. Like everyone else has said, it must be a horrible time for his family. Best wishes go out to them in their time of grief.

It's a very sad day for the sport I love and enjoy. Mike was a true fighter and fought to the end. Heart of a warrior.

So sad to hear when a fighter succumbs to injuries within the ring.

It would appear Mike was having headaches for weeks prior to the fight. This should have been picked up on by his handlers and by the fight doctor before the fight started.

A talented young man gone to the big ring in the sky but could have been so easily avoided if someone had come forward about his migraines.

I think its a bit unfair to say injurys sustained in the ring the injurys started weeks before its a hazard of the sport and one that all participants know about. A boxer goes through medical examinations prior to a fight and a clerance cert is given. if a boxer chooses to be not so informative theres not much else can be done. It boils down to a tragic accident but no blame can be levelled anywhere.

I am an ex boxer and I know the risks. I also know my way around the medical examinations we undertook pre and post fight.

If Mike had been experiencing migraines prior to the fight then he shouldn't have been in that ring.

You are correct it was a tragedy but lessons learned, if your not 100% fit physically or mentally the boxing ring is not the place for you.

I don't watch boxing as I hate it, it's such a sad sad loss for his family and friends through what he loved doing and at such a young age, every boxer knows the risks and dangers of boxing and as for the guy that he had the fight with imagine what he is going though, R.I.P xx
