A successful social meet?

Organising my first for a couple of weeks but wondering what people who attend these events feel makes them successful?

Initially thinking I am glad they turned up, they are nice looking, non stop chat and laughter and a peck on the cheek and a promise to meet again to take things further.Or perhaps just parting as friends with no problems.

Sorry I should have said it's a social event rather than a one on one.

Those I think I can manage, obviously nervous about arranging my first event.

I see posts for other social events that have games and/or raffles etc and wondering if it's worth trying to organise something similar.

happy lil world

I always meet one to one socially just so I can actually see them in the flesh.

1st social lovely guy turned out good had a future meet. He looked after himself clean & smart smelt gorgeous funny we clicked.

Bad meets rotten teeth gives me the boak, dinner or breakfast still on their beard scruffy untidy people. Worst didn't actually look the same as the picture about 20 years out & difference of 10 stone

I've hosted quite a few drinks nights, and for me a success is when most people turn up, have a laugh and get to know each other. Very laid back and just having a laugh

That's what I'm hoping for. I have 70 names on a list, but aware that about 70% of that won't turn up!

It's mostly single guys that bottle it, I find. Although the last one I had quite a few turned up it's hard to judge, we'll all have a great time regardless

A world of my own

The ones I've organised were pretty nervewracking. Convinced people wouldn't show up etc.

Main thing I think is to try and keep everyone involved.

I've been to socials in the past and seen many posts on here from people who have felt ignored or that there was a lot of cliques.

For that reason I went out of my way to talk to everyone and continued to try to keep others talking to each other too.

Im sure your night will go well. Have fun x

People make it if you have folk wanting to go for a laugh and joke with others its great when you get the cliques its not so great. But its your social and the main thing is you enjoy it.

I've organised a few socials and I agree that when people turn up make sure you include everyone and introduce new people to people that you maybe know will be quite happy to kinda take them under the wing, if that makes sense.

Ultimately tho people will make a social what they want it to be.

I am sure you will have a blast tho x
