A face pic, something unique about yourself, something that grabs the persons interest (look for clues specific to their profile), & don't expect a reply. That way when you get one it's a bonus.

If all else fails... try the tenner thing.

Some good information and tips have already been mentioned OP. Although, there is no blueprint as such for a message to send that will definitely receive a reply. We are all different after all, some will respond to what others don't. Just bare in mind that single guys are in the majority here & generally no reply is a thanks but no thanks.
