Hey everyone we are new to the site done mfm before twice and loved it ready to add another female to the mix, maybe more. Don't feel ready for clubs but all couples we talk to on here seem to be single guys so thinking that may be the only way to actually meet genuine people...

What's people's thoughts on nearly newbies going to clubs and which one is best and why?

Better suggestions welcome.....

We are on the same thought as u guys. We aren't full on swingers and are looking to try out a few things first. A club seems a bit out there for us as never done it before. We get a few messages from couples that seem to be only male based, hmmmmm. Or male half is always, without a doubt free. We also get the feeling if you aren't a club going swinger then ur on the outer circle and not in the clique.

Also, showing our novice side here but what is "socials" are they private parties?a massive swinging group meeting in the local boozer?lol any help/advice welcome.x

what do you seriously think a club is?

EVERY club can be treated as a social place..nobody is forced to partake..some people never do.

If you can go down the pub, am sure you can go to a club.

*ive mailed,

but a social can be in a bar of course..in most cases we'd rather make sure it is site members,so mostly an area or suite may be booked.

have a look at the falrkirk social threads..they may give you an idea of who went etc

A club or a social is the best way to get started. A lot of people on here won't arrange to play with people they don't know (then again a lot will) and also a lot of the people on here all know each other.

I would suggest going to a club with the mindset that your there to socialise and if you meet someone you like and fell ready to play go for it.

If you would prefer a social there's one in Ayrshire coming up there's a thread about it on here

Good luck xx

Never said anything about being forced into anything. Just asking what the differences are between the two. Clubs and social. As we said its new to us as not full on swingers. these kind of replies to genuine questions give us more doubts as to attending one. Does it make us less 'genuine' cos we haven't been?

Sorry if it sounded like that..

it's more of a push, and to maybe try thinking of less misconceptions you have about the scene.

To my mind it would appear you have a vision of what a swinger is. There is no such thing its just an everyday person. I would say dont do a club as there will definatly be sex there whereas a social in a public place will show you folk are just everyday people

Imagine the Falkirk social with seperate areas if you want to get adventurous, that's pretty much a club in my experience.

Contrary to what some people say a club is not a mass orgy, the few I've been to have a bar, social areas and playing areas, no pressure to play so can be treated as a social if that's what you feel on the night.

I'd say go along to one and form your own opinion you'll either love it or hate it, either way it will be an experience good luck!

Falkirk/Edinburgh

We're new to this and went to after8 a couple of weeks ago. Really pleased we decide to do that than arrange an actual meet. Had a great time - everyone really friendly.

Hoping to go to CJ's on Saturday.

Good advice

I had to ask what it meant in the beginning lol!

Hi everyone thanks for your replies.

Firstly I'd like to say we were at the social on sat and loved every minute of it. It's like being at a party where everyone wants to be interested we found everyone nice and had great fun. We wI'll consider going along to a club and write back with our findings

Cj's is a club in Glasgow. It has a few rooms to socialise in. Tea and coffee and soft drinks are available. You can take your own alcohol. Upstairs there are open rooms, couples only room and private rooms for playing in.

It's like being at a house party. She me people arrange to meet there for a social and that way they can play too if they want. You can wear what you want and change there.

The socials are in pubs usually although sometimes bigger events are organised eg Christmas party, etc

Everyone is made very welcome at cj's and you'll be shown where everything is.

Cj's is a great place to meet couples. They have couple only nights, there's no pressure to play. You can just socialise and if you meet another couple you like alls the better

Not really. Some clubs are more like bars with rooms off and with others you go through the changing rooms first and there is no seperation of play and social areas.

For newbies a seperate bar and play area can be a gentle introduction. Sitting in the middle of a load of humping people may be a step too far too fast.

We are now quite happy with either but in the scared early days we would prefer a 'bar with benefits' as opposed to a dive straight in club.

It may have been said before!

A social is where like minded people meeting up socially to chat. Normally a public place so nothing usually goes on maybe just a bit of flirting at most.

Clubs, like most things, there are good and bad. It can depend on what night you go, is it a quiet night or a planned event, the company but most of all the expectation.

I have been to quite a number of different clubs and most are well run and no pressure is applied of any kind. Go with an open mind, maybe arrange to meet someone but set the expectation. As said before if you can go to a pub you can go to a club.

Socials are usually in private function suites or areas of a pub. Details are usually only given out a day or two before the event.

For clubs - Cj's is very friendly and rooms downstairs are for socialising and upstairs are for play. There are couples rooms and rooms you can lock if you want privacy.

The staff are friendly and will show you around. There's a kitchen area to make tea and coffee, bar area where you can bring your own bottle and soft drinks are free.
