Slightly Unneved

Doorbell went 10 mins ago, answered it to a young lass who was totally out her skull, could barely stand or talk coherently.

She rang my bell cos my lights were on and asked if I had an Iphone charge so she could phone a taxi.

Told her I don't have an Iphone but would phone her a taxi if she wanted to go and stand at the side path (30ft away), she said no thanks and would sort it herself.

Now I'm feeling unnerved (after getting a rolicking for answering the door at 1am in the morning). The closest bar, at the hotel, shuts about 11 on a Sunday Got every scenario going through my head, what if it was a scam? Single female answering the door...

What would you have done and what would you do after?

I would have answered the door . If she refused help and was intoxicated called the police and gave a description of her. Would hate anything on my conciouence if I didn't act.

Just unnerved me, that she wouldn't let me phone her a taxi as that's what she said she need to charge her phone for.

Thankfully I wasn't home alone if anything had happened.

The fact you offered to phone her a taxi n she refused even though she claimed that's why she wanted to charge her phone (with your charger) in the 1st place doesn't add up.

Sounds well dodgy to me,fuck knows!

Its one of those there is no right or wrong. you did what was right for you given the circumstances that were presented.by the sounds of it I would have done something similar. Wanting phone charged but not a taxi rings alarm bells

I mute my buzzer at night if someone i know is in trouble they can get me on my mobile.

Knock at my door I don't reply. You never know!!

Giving you a wee tap behind the heid for opening the door at this time even if you were not alone. Someone could have been hiding on the side and jump in!!!

pub was closed so she must have been out of a private party. Go back there find a phone! Or a scam etc...

You offered to help and she said no.

But i bet it is unnerving. Big hug x

I would answer the door...leave her outside but phone her a taxi and made sure she got in it.....wouldn't like to think my daughter or nieces being in that position and no one helping them x

I left her outside my front door, explained that I didn't have an Iphone charger, offered to phone her a taxi, she refused (and that's what she said she needed to charge her phone for). What else was I supposed to do? Even by the time I walked 20 ft into my living room, she was off across the road and walking away....

I don't usually, but we had been texting with my upstairs neighbour, so when the doorbell went and I seen the blonde hair, thought it was she on the cadge for cigs or beer lol

Difficult situation.

You did the right thing.

Certainly risky inviting her in and even riskier for a guy in your situation trying to explain to the police later why he invited a young d*unk girl into his house , if things turn pear shaped
