I got a reallt vile message calling me a timewaster and was blocked from a guy yesterday, because I politely pointed out I wasn't meeting due to health reasons.

If he wasn't married and looking for a lunchtime quickie, then he may have had time to read the profile and find that out!!!

"how is it some turn from being nice, to totally psycho?"

The scary bit is that they don't turn psycho - they're psycho to begin with but are masquerading as nice to try to get a meet.

It's probably better to discover they're psycho after one or two messages than when you're in a one to one and something, however minor, doesn't please them.

Scotland and beyond

Rejection is part of live, and if your going to get fixated with someone after a view at their profile and a couple of messages, then you have other issues.

The timewasters who lead you up the garden path after endless message exchange, are annoying though, but why would you waste more of your time with complaining messages? Maybe it's just the "british" way, bad experience = writing a strongly worded letter.

Maybe it's an extension of the victim culture which pervades so much of society nowadays. The whole 'I've been wronged - feel my pain' syndrome.

It can only be a matter of time before it becomes acceptable to start a Facebook page so total strangers can leave meaningless messages of sympathy.

Because they are childish and shouldn't be on an adult site.

We don't get them TBH, but I would laugh if we did.

If he wants to waste his own time doing that then it's fine. But the fact that you need to read it makes it unacceptable.

I agree with all that has been said on this subject... If you asked someone out in a night club or pub you wouldn't get all crazy and have a go at the person..

It's part of being part of a diverse culture and people, we all have different needs and wants and we all like things different. We should all accept those differences and if we don't appeal to some then move on till you find someone that finds you attractive... Can you imagine if we all liked the same thing? We all be fighting over each other, crazy (mind you I'd like women fighting over me.. lol... not going to happen!!!!)

I wish all those on here loads of clean honest fun....

i get knocked back all the time, i don't take it personally. folk have to face facts that 1 person might not be attractive to every single person. i'm not going to meet an ugly woman or a woman who has the personality of a brick, even if sex is a given!

"Why do people get upset and start sending foul messages when you politely say you dont want to meetfor 1 reason or another

Safely say, that thats the most logical answer amongst all of the comments, maybe the poor guy has been politely, patiently been innocently hoping as we all do that today may be his lucky day to get a positive response, just that, not the promise of an instant fun meet or spur of moment fun, but just a nice upbeat reply.

To be nasty is never the way to go, but im sure you all recognise a message with zero thought gone into it and a guy simply doing what the sites meant for, far too many think the worst and too readily, and that only comes about by an equal tiresome attitude to it all.

I'm easy come easy go with all manner of replies.

I have seen the chaotic amount of messages solo fems and couples recieve and i understand it rapidly becomes un-manageable, but there are some decent types among us too, but we kinda get caught in the "ohh i've had enough of this" crossfire at times.

Just my opinion,

T xx

its not very mature to get upset if u get rejected. its a choice, if the other person doesnt want to then its up to them.

i do reply to all my messages mind u and its nice to even say thanks but no but then again, its choice isnt it?

love all the comments and it seems that the majority are agreeing with the subject. Not saying that everyone on here being rejected are petty as most are very realistic. Maybe in future some peeps will think twice before making a bad comment

Rejection???? Wait till I get the dictionary out...

Ha yeah don't understand why some people think that because they've made an account no-one has the right to say no thanks.
