Clearly states on my profile not to send random friends requests yet I still get loads. Normally I just bulk delete after letting them build up but lately I've started winding the guys up.

How does everyone else deal with unwanted random friend requests

Either accept while they're offline, have a nosey and delete them, or just leave the invite there and then they can't send another one

A Galaxy Far, Far Away & Spain

Nope, doesn't bother me now. I used to get them all the time. It's just fantasists wanting a nosey of the goods, so I only send/accept Friends Adds AFTER I've met them.

It's even easier now as I've deleted who I'm looking for & I'm not really looking to Meet.

I wait until they go offline then accept and look at their pics, then block and unblock then it goes back to a friend request

(Nessarosa)

It does not happen often to us. (We have message filters in place)

But when the random friend request comes...we send them a kind little note.

"We are not sure why you just randomly did a friend invite. We will chalk it up to an accident. We did not accept it.

We hope you both find what you are looking for. "

Normally they don't write back or do a friend request again.

Only one time did we block someone. ..4 friend request. Sorry. ..blocked.

Xxx

They don't trouble me, if it's someone I like the look of I'll accept when they are offline and if I still like the look of them then I'll drop them a message.

I think the problem comes from the Number against your private pics.

If that just had a tick, to verify that you had some, rather than a number. I think the random friends requests would diminish quickly, as like others have said it's mainly folk wanting a nose/perve.

How I deal with them - It's detailed on my profile. I simply delete them. If they keep trying I'll eventually block them. I tend to only block folks for valid reasons.

Just had another on

I sent a message saying how great it was to finally meet and chat and hope for more in the future with friends request as the title.

He simply replied ???? Must've thought I was some mad stalker.

Surely you had a great time too other wise why send the friends request

Sheepish reply back apologising and reluctantly praised me on my responses to his poor manners.

Feel so much better now

I really don't see any point in sending a friend request unless I have at least spoken to the person a little bit.. Usually I ask if it's alright to send one after having chatted for a bit xx

if someone sends a random request, we just send a message asking why ..works for us , the idea of blocking seems a bit hard but each to their own ..
