PAISLEY

We were trying to arrange a small private meet. Loads of interest but then many called off at last minute. The list of excuses was crazy. What's the best excuse you have heard for cancellations?

Terrible using that excuse . Why can't people just say they have changed their minds and want to meet someone else ?

Different situation, but at one of my jobs, we had a student, and in the 7 months he was there he had 9 Grandparents die.

Turned out he was working a 2nd job as well, and doing about 22 hours a day.

He was let go 3 months early...

i was supposed to be meeting someone after chatting to them for a few weeks, then came the day and i messaged them. I seen that they read the message and they did not even have the decency to reply. i would have accepted a shitty excuse, but for to completely rod someone off is just rude

when stuff like that happens i just assume that they are a tortured soul who has had their feelings hurt and does it for an ego boost. sad really........... to be honest i actually like the forums better than messaging people anyway, everyone here is more genuine

Fife

I arranged to meet up at a local tesco, everything was going smoothly, communication was good, then as soon as I said "I'm here" it all stops.

30 mins of waiting later as I decide to leave she messages me saying "wait don't go, I'm in the toilet in Tescos, being sick"

So as an Army medic I naturally become concered, "Are you ok? Do you need me to come up?" I"'ll be fine" she says and then the messages stop again.

45 minutes later and still no messages I decide to go home......

I once had to cancel a meet citing the excuse

"I've been hit in the face by a football "

The ball managed to smash my glasses, cutting the bridge of my nose and giving me a black eye. I looked like I came second in a 'hitting yourself in the face' competition
