Tickets for shows/gigs/etc...

Wow!!

Just saw tickets for the new Harry Potter Play for £2,700 each

What's the highest price you have paid for a show/concert/etc...? Was it worth it?

How high would you go to see your favourite actor/singer/comedian etc?

I can't actually believe someone would pay £3k to see a play. I'd rather go to the sun for a week.

You could get 2 holidays for that much!

Would need to be a major superfan to even consider it.

Mind boggles how they can even have the guts to charge that

"

I know!!!

The box office tickets are up to £70 but says sold out now.

What happens and don't quote me on that lol is that some chancers by a load of tickets for 70 quid and re-sell them via other websites.

And that one website I went on that was the price for a Sunday viewing at 1pm in next week!

Genuinely the most I've ever spent was £140 for two tickets which isn't even much lol

Think the most I've spent was around £50 for greenday and £50 for Guns n Roses.

One direction cost me £175 for two platinum seats for my daughter. Only paid that as it was the night before and touts were same price. Plus it was there last tour. Was worth it though just to see her face. Think she cried the whole gig. I've never understood that.

Just over a grand for a football ticket

Paid just over £100 to see prince at the O2 in London, wasn't fussed about going but so glad I did as it was an amazing gig. Apart from that it's just been standard face value tickets

Yeah... Forgot that some football tickets prices can also reach high prices.

As for the 'crying' I have never understood that lol but glad they enjoyed the concert. You will get your money back when embarrassing them/reminding them when they are older lol

A Galaxy Far, Far Away & Spain

Barbra in London. Her first UK concert since the 60's after years of not playing live due to stage fright.

My original ticket was £100, but we got the chance of tickets which were row 7, sitting behind all the celebs (Elton, Bruce Forsyth, Michael Caine... Gaby Roslyn sat in front of me crying the whole way through; Bassey was miles behind me kvetching about her seat. They were all dressed in Versace - I was dressed in Whatevery's).

I won't say how much the tickets cost, but I will NEVER forget that concert, how close I was to Barbra, & how it was worth paying to see that talent hold an entire arena in the palm of her hand. Priceless.

Probably going to see Coldplay whilst visiting the USA on holiday. Think the exchange rate wasn't too bad and tickets cost about £70

Special effects good but didn't think much of Coldplay otherwise - disappointed

The way I always view it they are only worth what your willing to pay. To expensive its not worth it so wouldnt be intrested.tickets could start at thousands of pounds if no-one bought them guess what the price comes down

Bought 2 tickets at £2500 each; for Desert Trip Festival Oct '16

I could have got cheaper tickets but these were a reasonable price for seat location and excellent view

Hotels & car parking for this event are through the roof

But it will be one of the greatest shows on earth.
