It was about 7 years ago and it gave me an escape from the pressures of the real world. I really wanted to explore swinging and attend parties. I had a couple of fantasies that I am pleased to say have been ticked off.

what was your expectation - and has the reality exceeded your expectations or not?

I came with no expectations at all.

But happy to say my time on here has been an amazing journey .

Some fabulous people and some not so fabulous people .

Some things im so glad I got to do and a few things not so much .

I have no regrets each and everyday is different ive lernt a lot from it and many things il continue to do and enjoy and some will never be repeated.

The memories will always be there and looked back on when im old and gray ...il always have a nawty smile on my face but only il know why

Joined not really knowing what the site and lifestyle was about, rarely meet and even less now, had a few not so nice encounters which has definitely made me think twice whether I should really just delete and get on with normal life, as for friends on fab I've made a few gems , and I'm sure they know who they are

I came from another site and had great times in chat, at socials and meets. The great times all outweigh the few not so good.

I live my life for happiness, contentment and enjoyment. I found it all on here.

I will leave the second it stops and not look back.

We were very naive as to what to expect made mistakes and learned very quickly ....we realised the fantasy and reality can be very different. Had some great times and certainly will always remember them.....been 10 years now not sure if we will ever be as involved as we once was.

I joined when Sluttycpl had the site in the beginning.I never really joined too meet.I think i just got lucky sometimes.Ive used it to my advantage and tried too create fun and banter in all that time.

Unfortunatly the site is a shadow of its former self.

Ive chatted to some inspirational people and some not so.

How long will i be here.?..not long

Joined after a friend suggested I have a look - almost 3 years ago

Didn't have any expectations and actually it was the forums that really interested me - I had been on a site previously that had forums which I really liked.Fab is my people watching without going to Costa and with more drama!

Fantasies...probably one big one that still considering

Disappointments - yes the odd one but I don't worry about it and move on

As for the site changing...people change and they change how they use it so I see it as something constantly changing - bit like 'evolving'

My only expectation was too meet like minded people for some chat and hopefully some NSA Fun. I would be lying if I said anything else.

However during my time I have came met and chatted with some amazing people but as we all know there are others on here that are less than desirable.

I'm still happy to be part of this community and as above my expectations remain constants

Joined with my husband about 8 yrs ago...

At the start it was such fun

ie...Scottish chat rooms and Scottish forums plus the socials were only usually on special occasions like Halloween Christmas and valentines with everyone from the chat rooms and forums chatting about them and getting good excited months before ..most were only a few pounds to attend and then think some thought...hey ho ...open market here and hell now being back i spotted a social at £30!!

Anyway...as someone said earlier it's a shadow that it used to be ...but I think that's more us oldies from the beginning Looking back in rose tinted glasses lol

There will always be folk that don't get on...always be Chinese whispers...just treat it as it is...a bit of fun from the normal...if a comment from a person you don't know ruins your day...it's time to have a re think

Me personally don't look at fabswingers being a swingers site anymore...I see it as a whatever folk want it to be site...chatting...fetish...instashag whatever...

I came here by accident..and stayed in the hope of having some fun. Guess I was exceptionally fortunate as I found someone special who makes me happy and has changed my life very positively. I never expected that, so I feel very lucky.

As for the negative aspects..? The tools are at hand to deal with those so I use them. Some people turn out not to be what you think they are and others are exactly what you thought. I trust my instincts and act accordingly. I'm here to be happy, not to listen to a lot of incessant garbage.

I'm reminded of some lyrics from Sweeney Todd....

"Demons may charm you with a smile, for a while, but in time, nothing can harm you, not while I'm around"....

When the time comes to go, only the happy thoughts will go with me.

Came here out of curiosity around 5 yrs ago, I had a nice few meets,but tbh it was my first actual meet that had my confidence questioned after meeting them, I heard the crass things they thought of me so in a way I couldn't wait to leave lol....and now I've sort of learned I watch who im considering meeting,and any person I meet,have met and want to meet I would think be a friend,even if we rarely see one another. But then bump into each other various places.

I have tons of fantasies and experiences I want to try, so care to help me..old and new

I find that taking a little break from here can be therapeutic,im happy in my own skin and the person who put me down,well I look forward and not back

I joined to try to experience new things sexually that "normal" life didn't really allow me to do and can safely say that the last 10 years have been an amazing mish mash ofsocials/hotels/meets/laughs/chatroom hilarity and the odd numptie and weirdo thrown in for good measure.

its been an experience and a half and I'm glad I did it all and can't believe I'm relatively sane at the end of it all.

No expectations really. A distraction a journey of adventure perhaps? Forums are either a great laugh to read or sometimes not so. Socials are always fun. Met some really nice folk's and some not so. But as in life we can't always be each others cup of tea.

Introduced to the site by a work colleague who said "you need a right good shag to snap you out of this depression" i had very little self confidence and took everything to heart and left after a month. I migrated from a competitor Adult Site with a brilliant Scotland Chatroom. The Socials were brilliant & I had a great many friends from there.

When I jumped ship to Fab it was in the days of "Old Chat" (anyone remember that far back?) & the place wasn't as busy or have as many timewasters, weekend profiles etc (anyone remember THAT far back?) & really had a feel of community.

If anything my expectations were more than met as the place developed & peaked (for me at least) a couple of years ago. So my expectations have declined of late & I drop in to keep in touch with the friends I've kept in touch with over all the profiles, name changes & years. It's still the best free swingers site in the UK (imho), but the sense of the site being owned & run by like minded swingers has dissipated. However I'll probably always have a soft spot for Fab, the genuine community, & certainly the great friends I've met over the years on here.

Place is saturated with fakes/timewasters though, which makes it a little difficult to find and enjoy times with genuine folk..

I'll keep popping in until i get bored though

Found my way here very shortly after the sites conception and been here since in one or two guises.

Site passed all expectations within first year

Has fell away big time.

Still have some old friends on here who I chat to and one or two new ones who are on a bucket list sorry fuckit list.

Forums are good but too many snog, shag fuck off threads

Been here about 9 years longer than I intended but it's been a ride literally
