A world of my own

Normally being single can be great fun however I've been invited to a,wedding next month for school friend's. I have to go but I'm dreading it. Given the guest list is likely to be full of other people ready to judge me I don't want to not have a plus one. Being the only divorced single mum is not the conversation I want to be having.

So my question is to the guys... do I ask someone I know and sometimes play with to come with me or,is he going to instantly run for the hills thinking I want more?

why would he if you have friendship then its a known quantity go for it you wont know till you ask

I think it depends if you're friends as well as playmates. If you can sit and have a conversation, chill out night, meal, then I don't see why not. But if you just phone him on a Saturday night because you're d*unk and horny at 2am then best to find someone else lol

if hes a really close friend then I wouldnt worry he dhould know fully that the invite is nothing more than a plus1 to the wedding xxx

Better to ask a friend you trust, whether from here or not.

Plus, what do you want your "plus one" to be portrayed as? The bf? People will want to know and be very nosey.

So best to have a good cover story, and don't accidentally setup dinner dates with other couples

Go on your own, stand proud and show the world how good you look, who knows, there may be one or two handsome single guys there ready to sweep you off your feet
