During a brief mail exchange earlier, in which I'm sure I managed to come across as as mad as a box of frogs (sorry about that, if you're reading), I mentioned that I get very few fabs. Each one is precious to me. Yes - preciousssss

Is that just the way it goes for a male profile? Or should I be giving in to the persistent nagging doubts over my own desirability? Other guys: do you also get a little boost from your fabs? Am I asking you to reveal too much of your psyche (and revealing too much of mine) ?

Totally agree with this. Fabd pics are just an option the site offers . And the fab hunters drive me nuts.

Males getting fabs is as common as golden unicorns with diamond encrusted horns. I think in 5 years of my single profile, one pic managed a total of about 70 fabs, 80% of which were from bi guys. We tried putting the same photo on our profile & Mrs J's single one before as an experiment & it got about 6 x more fabs on her single profile.

Numbers of fabs doesn't bother me, but what I do find weird is the kind of photos that get the most. Some of them are pretty good pics, but there are some awful snapshots with thousands of fabs.

The advice? Just keep putting your pics up, if you like them that's the main thing, if others do too it's a bonus.

I love pics as you all prob know lol but I do them because I love it something I find very naughty and very much a turn on ,taking a kinky pic so if people like then cool but they are for my pleasure xx

Thanks : that at least puts my mind at rest on the being beaten with the ugly stick front

On the psychology side of things, I wouldn't say I'm a fab seeker - clearly I'm not going to end up in any sort of gallery. At the same time I can't say I'm immune either: I like it when I get the odd wee fab and, much as I realise that's irrational, I can't help it (shrug).

I don't allow my pics to be fabbed...but if I see a pic and I really like it il fab it..if it's diffrent and well thought out...Unless it states...fab my pics..well then I just tut and scroll on by

I must admit I'm a merry, happy fabber: if I see a picture that tickles my fancy for some reason, I'll fab it. Sort of a miniature thank-you for tickling that fancy.

Don't really care how many fans I get. Mrs GNB doesn't either, it's the quality of meets that we care about. 'Fabs' just seem to be about massaging an ego, not here for that; although a lot of people seem to be.

I agree with the majority of the Forum in that the Fab Hunters fall into the LAM (Look At Me) category & speaks volumes. So I tend to subconsciously deduct points from those profiles & look at the next.

If I fab a pic it can be for a variety of reasons & not always because I find them appealing. Sometimes it's just having fun on a Fabathon Thread.

Best bet is not to treat a Fab as anymore important than a Wink. A well thought out profile or mail is far more interesting & satisfying than the Fab equivalent of a FB Like.

Someone who can stimulate me from their conversation is far more likely to catch my attention than a silent Winker or Fab Like.

I often fab pictures I see in updates or when I'm looking round the forums of male, female and couples that I think are sexy or catch my eye as they are a bit different.

I add photographs of my own that I feel sexy in because I like to share them, couldn't care less about ending up on most fabbed page
