My wee dad is dying in the hospital where I work and I only found out as I was doing his bloods.

how out of order are my so called family?

I feel for you buddy I really do,and I understand you being rightfully upset and angry.

Not knowing what your family situation is,and forgive me for saying this,would it not be better to try and find out from them why you weren't informed?

I'm sorry to hear you found out this way. It really is none of my business, but, why don't you pop in and see him. Whatever has gone before he might be glad you are there. Even if he is not conscious, he might still know you are there. Just a thought. xx

Don't know your family situation and totally understand how you feel finding out this way.

May be have a wee word with him if you can and your family to find out more and the reason behind it.

I do hope you manage to put your rage/frustration on the side and manage to make the most of your time with your dad.

what a horrible way to find out but whatever has gone on should be put on hold and you should just make sure you spend as much time with your wee dad as you can .

Family's are the strangest of things... they are the people who have known you longest yet might know you the least.

You only get one Dad, put all the strife aside, be honest about how you found out without blame and just make sure you support him and make your time with him something you can remember with pride and love xXx

How you found out doesn't matter, whatevers gone before and any awkwardness with any of the family is now irrelevant.

Go and see your dad, talk if he can and wants to or just sit quietly but go.

None of us know what tomorrow will bring.

Enjoy the time you have with him for as long as you can,I lost my dad 3 yrs ago,wasn't expected as he was only early 60s and he only went into hospital as last resort through doctors orders really

We spoke to him on the Tuesday morning via phone,we got knock at door around 3 am tuesday night Wednesday morning that he died,

So yes treasure those moments
