A world of my own

Much talked about on here and in general. However just watched naked attraction and was in awe of the confidence they must have to do it. In fact I feel like that often when I see what people on here do or post.

Its no secret to those who know me I have zero body confidence. I still even panic during sex about how I must look in certain positions. Even when it is someone I'm really comfortable with.

I'm still haunted by the match experience where men stated what weight their potential dates should be and I was too big for them all!

Its not a look at me post. I'm not fishing for compliments.

I want to know what gives other people self confidence. Was it experiences? An age thing? Something you've always had?

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

Confidence is earned through positive recognition and reinforcement.

It’s amazing how easy it is to believe all the negative things people say and yet discredit the positive. Taking a compliment is so easy. Sometimes, it’s instinctive to assume they’re just being nice when it's a 50/ 50 chance you have in believing they really mean it .

I do think confidence comes at a very early age but in the blink of an eye that confidence can be crushed and leave you scared for a very long time .

The only person who can change that is You ..in telling yoursekf you are a beautiful woman and believing you are a beautiful woman.

As naturists we see all shapes and sizes on the nude beaches we go to abroad. If we were all the same shape and size life would be very boring. We arent in anyway supermodels, lol we could be plus plus size old models!!, but that doesnt put us off baring all! try to be confident in yourself, its your body and you should love it because it is you!! .If other people dont like it then they are the losers...Hugs.....x

I'm not good at taking compliments dunno why but hey ho

Before i had kids I say I was in pretty good shape

3 kids later I'm not what I used to be and only myself can do something about that.

My husband tells me he loves me everyday and always compliments me when we are going out so that gives me my confidence because after all I'm only really bothered about his opinion

But on here...my pictures are real and recent so...if I do meet...they know what there getting

It was actually meeting C and joining here that gave me self confidence. I've always been a big girl but lost a lot of weight when I met C, and a fair few people here seem to think I'm not bad looking.

I still have an annoying habit of replying to compliments on my weight loss with 'thank you, but I still have a lot to go'. Trying to teach myself to just say thanks!

Just a pity the "fab pics" option is turned off on your profile - lovely pics.

I'm no Adonis by any means and wouldn't really want to be. I'm comfortable in my skin but know I need to do something about the extra that I carry.

At the end of the day..... Just be yourself. That can indeed be the most beautiful thing of all. Be confident in who you are not what the world expects you to be.

I've chatted to a few here and got on well. Very well. Then blocked after pic. Seems superficial means more to them than the intellectual connection

Wyldstyle and Oldie but Goodie niether of you should be self conscious both are different but to inmho eye pleasing. That said I think it is more about how you carry yourself that determines how sexy you are. Maybe easier to see in guys simple posture adjustment such as chest out head up gives an aura of confidence. Same is true for ladies.

Personally ..I think you look lovely ....I would have no interest in how curvy you are ...

The connection for me with ya would be the chemistry in conversation with ya.

i donr have any issues with any womens sizes..Personality will always be the sexual connection for me.

Whats not too like about curves.?

I do understand what you are saying...However shake yourself down lady ..be positive and eliminate the negatives in how you look compared too others ...

you look fantastic xx

My body is what it is. I'm 57 years old and it has lived with me. Weight gain, weight loss, weight gain again, babies, surgeries, scars and bumps...all there. But then, it's never been perfect. Even in my youth when it was at its best it was never that great! I accentuate the good bits and treat the bad bits with the loving care an old and valued friend deserves. It's part of me....it's who I am. My whole however, is greater than the sum of my parts. Inside and out...take me or leave me..love me or loathe me....I'm real.

I wouldn't strip for channel 4 but I might for Radio 4!

I think I understand how you feel in that I've experienced similar situations and feelings. I think confidence is fragile sometimes and easily destroyed by emotionally manipulative and needy people who prefer you to be insecure for their benefit. You are obviously (to my mind) intelligent, empathic and beautiful even if you don't feel it sometimes. Be kind to yourself and live life to its full advantage, you only live once xXx

I can understand your point OP.

From a very young age we are fed a diet of what we're supposed to aspire to as far as looks, weight etc

As I've got older the realisation that its the person inside not the wrapper outside that's important and where a connection is really made.

As for self confidence, as already said, the only person that can provide that is yourself

First step, start liking yourself, loving yourself will follow and you will eventually believe in yourself

Everybody has parts they don't like - even me.

But as has already been said, the lumps, bumps, tiger stripes and scars just make us who we are.

Wear the imperfections with pride and smile.

This post has turned into something about being big as the main factor of not having body confidence. Im the polar opposite. Im very slim, not skinny anymore. But have been this way forever. I have longed to put on weight and despite my best attempts, failed. I dont believe i have a good body, due to surgery when i was younger. But find it difficult to take a compliment also.

All i want is to be happy in my skin, whether that be large or small. I just want to be happy

strange one this and im sure same as myself you tire of hearing "wish I could have what I wanted and not put weight on" in alot of ways its harder when you cant put weight on and most dont see it as a problem. I gave up trying and just accepted for me I wont ever get to be bhudda

You look good to me from the pics you have on site so it may well be your mindset which is making you feel this way.

I myself up till my mid 30s had been under 11 stone and at 5"11 that was very slim. Previously I was only 9.5 stone in my early to mid 20s. For me it became about fitness and counting my Macros in my diet. Now I am a healthy 12 stone and going on for a nicer body shape. We all need to find our goals and start the journey to them.

Hi *waves* Well im always body concious and i used to be slimmer just because I either used to ride horses so this always kept me fit, plus if you know camperdown park lol from the bottom end and running up the road couple times a week kinda keeps weight down lol...

Anyhoo I've put weight on at core so rarely would I do a body shot until last night I kind of did in an angle. When I first came to fab I still rarely put a photo out cause I was concious but now and plus my first meet actually called me a name which made it even worse, but now after a severe talk to myself plus to those I've met I've realised im not as bad as I think but I've put a shield around me lol

I dont know anyone who can look at themselves and not wish something was a bit better..bigger...smaller...tighter or whatever. The important part is not to let it consume you. If you cant change it..why worry? If you can change it..but dont want to...why worry? If you can change it, and want to then do it.
