"Thanks honey , have heard good things about yoga and swimming also ! I already have a crazy 3 year old lol what was I thinking oh yup I wasn't lol ! I think it was amitriptylyne they put me on was supposed to help with the nerve pain , just short walks kill me think this has been since may now just not improved at all , hope you find relief X " The doctor put me on tramadol at first, it had absolutely no effect. It wasn't until I got my physio he told me to stop taking the tramadol and ask for amitryptaline or gabapentin. Major improvement within a couple of weeks, I was able to stand for more than 2 mins. Hopefully the yoga will help with the current issue ![]()

"If they don't I'd push for physio, tablets alone won't help Thanks for you help and advice, very much appreciated." Don't know what it's like where you are, but my doctor gave me a card for the physio and I called them myself to go on the list, they don't do it for you. It's a possible 10 week wait but I was seen within 3 weeks

"When mine was bothering me I was told by physio to find the point in my arse/ hip area where it seemed to be pinching the nerve and put a golf ball inside my pants directly on the point and lie on it, it's hurts like hell at first but does ease and defiantly helped " Someone suggested a tennis ball to me today, probably thinking the same thing

Place the ball on the floor and roll on it hip/glutes/top side and back of thighs. However, I wouldn't recommend it during the acute inflammation stage as it would aggravate the nerve further. It is however useful, when you feel the sciatica coming and when the acute stage is over but you are still in pain. Don't think you would get in that position in an acute stage anyway.

"Also dEaling with foot pain everytime lean on left foot, pain shoots from the heel as if inside somewhere" Check out plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinitis. If you are on your feet a lot, walk a lot or run could be it
