I am looking to go for a wee walk tomorrow somewhere near dunfermline in the fife area. Looking to start hill walking again. Can anyone advise of an easy hill to climb in the area? Nothing too steep, I am little out of shape lol x

Thanks

Janey

Could try the lomond hills, start at craigmead car park and gives you access to east or west lomond, those are fairly decent and not too steep, been years since I was out that way of course

If I am not sure of an area I always find www.walkhighlands.co.uk to be a good source of info. Just search the area or town your visiting

forfar

Would agree with previous post that east of west Lomond hills would be a good start to get back into it. Did them with a club couple of months ago and enjoyed it.

West Lomond is a gentle walk along a wide tracked road, very good for beginners

East Lomond is a bit steeper but still good

Alternatively, head up the East Lomond from the Falkland side, up past the factory, for a steep heavy going climb
