I don't think people who use it in their profiles are considering themselves better than others, rather trying to find commonality.

It is all about the connection so maybe they think the pre talk - get to know each other, may be easier

for us it means working in a high profile jobs, where if our identity was revealed, we would no longer have a job.........

I dont think it means they think they are better than others.

Perhaps it just means they work in a job that if found out about "their hobby" they would no longer have

or; they dont work say in a supermarket where when your shift is finnished you go home and they dedicate most of their time to their profession leaving limited time to play.

But like everything in other folks profiles, they write it for a reason, nobody has to like it or agree with it, each to their own.

T xx

hmm, better than everyone else, i don't think so. Maybe it's to try and prevent messages like "how r u 2 doin" and "u up 4 a meet" and they like people to have a little bit going on upstairs. And if they are better than everyone else we wanna meet em

ok well we recon any one earning a wage is a professional as in any one not just them with so called hi profile jobs

we just wondered why its mentioned in the so called swing scene

was just a cenversation we were having here and thought we would ask the adult community in here but seems at least one is so full of sarcasm but small mind comes to mind lol

To us it implies they have a bit of intellect and would prefer to meet others with similar responsibilities day-to-day and a broadly similar outlook on life.

I think some of the other reasons suggested about are just as valid.

As a part of a profile, it's more of a turn on for us than a turn off.

It's slightly off topic but we'd be unlikely to meet anyone who sent us a message full of spelling mistakes.

Lins... can we just send you photos then please? hehehe

Professionals, arent we all professionals, a postman is professional a footballer is a professional...... i saw someone say there work would be in jeopody if there bosses knew.. feck 100% of people in here would be the same. maybe we should all take IQ tests to see who should meet.

Me? i like personalities, a pretty smile and a connection but if they are professionals and i have to pay... then walk on by lol Greig

i dont have a thing about folk calling themselves professional. lawyers ,milkmen ,wankers, oups i mean bankers most folk can say they are professional in their own field. what bugs me is the semi-pro bunch. i mean would you go to a semi-pro dentist. would a semi-pro painter only paint half your wall. in some countries you have to have your papers to say you are professional.

so in conklusione if u re a "semi" then think again
