"Im in Turkey just now. The atmosphere last night was eerie. Lots of panic in the hotel. All tv's turned off etc. We are in the Antalya region so afew hundred miles away from the troubles however I barely slept with worry. FCO website say where we are is still okay but advice is to stay within the hotel resort. We are due to fly home Monday night. This so far remains unchanged Looking around the pool it seems business as usual. My heart goes out to all those not so safe or with loved ones hurt or worse." Be safe and safe journey home x

"Would you go on holiday to turkey NOW. ?" I wouldn't, the country is a powderkeg that I'd avoid at all costs. Not just because of recent events this past few weeks. Even though anything tragic could happen anywhere my choice of destination would be based on what's been going on in that particular country before booking.
