I would like to thank those of you for kind words since I said I was depressed and had been prescribed citalopram. It is much appreciated.

am a psychiatric nurse and glad to see you are getting help. am sure yourdoc has told you it will be 2 - 4 weeks bfore you notice any lift in your mood. but hang on in there xx

All the best saint,i have taken citalopram in the past and like T n T says it will take a few weeks but you will notice a difference.You have done the correct thing by going to your Doctor and telling him/her how you feel,it does take courage to seek help as most people who suffer or have suffered from depression think it will go away and some are even scared how others will view them.
