As I said in a previous post its about time us browsers started chatting... so here is my first real post... something Ive been thinking about a lot recently.

What is your earliest childhood memory... and how old were you?

I was just over 4 years old and I remember going to an aunts wedding with just my dad and brothers as mum was about to give birth to another baby.

Loads of people say you can't remeber this young but I was about 2 ish. Give or take some months.

My mum was in hospital getting something removed and this lady would watch me. Fed me so much weetabix I got fat... 3 a serving. Even to this day I only eat 2 and half. Mum didn't recognise me.

My memory however is this woman's big golden Lab running in the living room and licking my face Haha

about 3 years old, my sis and I sneaking into the living room on Christmas morning (about 3am) and shaking all the presents.

Also remember vividly, my first day at primary school. Sat next to two girls called Valerie and Elaine (still friends) and had a bag of salt and vinegar crisps for my play piece.

I had a long spell in hospital at around the age of two. Things were very different in those days and while my parents were able to see me through glass I wasn't allowed to see them as I got too upset when they left.

The day they took me home it was lunch time and my mother popped me in my high chair which I loved. I can vividly remember puting my head down on the tray and bursting into floods of tears. I broke my heart for hours with the relief of being home again with the people who loved me. I was wearing a dress with cherries on it....

When I remember it the emotion builds up again and I can cry just thinking of it.

When my son was in and out of hospital for four years I never left his side. Except to give birth to his brother.

Mine is quite similar I was 3 or 4 and my hair wouldn't grow, apparently I asked to have my ears pierced as people kept mistaking me for a boy. Just remember getting one done and running away screaming out the shop door and down a lane... x
