Getting blocked on here for no apparent reason is pretty common. I accept that, given how many guys react badly to being rejected, some women use the block button as a knee-jerk response to someone in whom they have no interest. I got a new one today, though; blocked by someone who didn't even open the message.

No wonder we get disheartened.

Don't be disheartened - people use the block button for many reasons, sometimes it just saves timewasting - I've been blocked before and I never take it personally it's just one of the tools of the site

Its simple you get blocked as they have no intrest in you why take it as a hardship im sure you have folk blocked also.i couldnt care less about who has me blocked more power to them im clearly not for them.i also dont buy into the "its their loss" it cant be their loss if they dont want it

Rude and abusive people, guys who won't take no for an answer, pic collectors, people that from their forum or status posts aren't people we want to associate with, or people who read and ignore our messages so obviously aren't interested and we don't want to keep messaging.

If someone blocks us for whatever reason, they're obviously not interested in us so fair enough, that's their decision

Certainly does. One woman who was very rude to me in chat and blocked me was all over me at a social.

I'm not bothered by being blocked but this one just made me go 'Huh?' Having just read one of those long threads bemoaning the lack of 'nice' guys it just struck me as part of why they might be hard to find.

For me blocking is something I really have to be pushed into. I think in 8 years or so I have blocked maybe half a dozen folk. Its also only in the past year or so I've noticed the seemingly random block. Of course, being a single male I don't have to suffer the deluge that women do.

I got blocked by a couple id never spoke to, had no intention of speaking to, hadn't fell out with on forums etc..... And the block came after I posted on here that I was attending the dundee social.....

I never got upset I just laughed at them and returned the block
