Relax your rules?

Do you ever relax your own rules and go outside of what your profile says?

E.g:

Won't meet smokers;

Age between x and y;

Single only;

5'8" and taller

Etc etc

For me, I have my own preferences, but I wouldn't say they were set in stone. I can see the benefit to sticking to your guns, as then you should get what you've asked for and nothing less.

Thoughts?

I have gone outside my rules on a few occasions and would say nothing is set in stone but it's good to have strong guidelines.

On here our rules are steadfast but in a club or party once we've chatted then yes we sometimes relax the rules

I don't relax my preferences, I have filters on my profile and I wouldn't knowingly meet smokers.

I rarely plan meets on here and when I do it will be with someone who ticks all my boxes, I wouldn't settle for less.

I also have a rule called the dickhead rule, this applies to dickheads whom I shan't meet or speak to. This one is a firm one
