On the back of some comments.

But the question is if you were to leave fab would you just go or would you do a little leaving post so all your friends knew you were okay but leaving or would you just leave leaving everyone wondering why you left and if everything was okay with you ?

I wouldn't do a leaving thread. I would delete my profile, I could tell my friends without having to make a big show on fab.

It wasn't that long ago the majority on this forum would ridicule anyone with the cheek to do a leaving thread.

I think people just need to let people leave in a way they feel comfortable doing so and if that means they wish to announce it on the forums then that's upto them.

Far too many think they know the thinking behind peoples thoughts and comments when they actually don't.

I'd leave in a Blaze of glory or I'd just leave would just depend on my mood the day I decided to leave

My own personal thoughts on this are that 'leaving threads' are the final resort of the terminally desperate to get some attention.

It's a bit pathetic, especially considering many make up a new profile the next day.

The very few people who be bothered by my leaving would already know and have other contacts for me . Lets face it anyone else really wouldnt give two hoots if I'm here or not, unless there was any gossip .So I personally feel a whole announcement is redundant.

I'm not bothered by anyone's thoughts of me being on here ,so don't need them if I decided it was my time to hang up my FMBs. Just go in dignified silence.

There's nothing more cringeworthy than a status or forum post stating the person is leaving. Its nothing more than attention seeking in my _iew

If your going to leave then simply send a pm to the people you are regularly in touch with them be done with it
