Hi fabbers,

Last weekend I recognised a lady when she was out for a drink.

I was tempted the first few seconds to go and say hi.

Then I thought it might be awkward.

After all I did. It speak to her.

I just would like to have reaction from fabbers and know what you would have done in that situation.

X

She was not on her own we never spoke on fab before....

In that situation it would have been creepy I think.

I wouldn't be happy. It's a complete lack of discretion.

It is nice to have feedback from the ladies, so far it looks like I took the right decision at the time

Saw a fellow jabber at Burger King, was funny watching him logging into fab whilst in there and looking around to make sure no-one was watching.

I wouldn't generally say hi unless there were on there own.

I would never randomly talk to someone I spotted on here, and I wouldn't expect or appreciate anyone to make that sort of introduction to me either.

It's not appropriate.

Say nothing.... Discretion is paramount!

Definitely send a wee message on fab afterwards to say hi though!

Agree with the main here you leave well alone unless you know them or have at least chatted on here.

But never approach them when they have company

If we're out together and someone from fab said hello to us we would be delighted. Always happy to meet fellow fabbers accidentally. But only if it was the 2 of us. Happened one time at a service station on the M6 a guy saw us and said hello. Had a chat for a bit and could one day have him over for a weekend.

Should have a discreet fab code like a generic word to let others know , but discretion is the way to go

Like 'fab day today isn't it'...might not work too well in Scotland though

Have recognised quite a few but would never dream of saying anything .

Likewise I've been recognised a few times people said hi then later had mails from them in here to say they saw me and said hi.

Also had mails that I'd been recognised from going on cam in chat years ago. Now i avoid chat cams

I've bumped into people I've chatted with or met when in town. Only chatted if both were alone

Also recognised a few others, mainly as a result of face pic friday lol but remember the key point of fab, Discretion.

I've bumped into a few woman I've met over the years in their personal lives. Always best to leave it up to them. I saw someone I met the week before in KFC with her son. She looked like she was about to have a heart attack if I said anything lol

I'd deny all knowledge of fab if approached by anyone from here then block them at the first opportunity.

I know someone from here who had some random guy approach her while she was out with friends and wouldn't take no for an answer, and kept saying 'you're *username* from fab, aren't you?'. She wasn't very happy, as she was married at the time. Some people are just idiots and need to realise that when someone says no, just walk away.

I have recognised a few people from on here or another site but would never go up to them unless we had met at a social and got on well.

Everyone has their own prefered level of discretion and I think it's rude to assume that it would be ok to just go over.

That being said if a women recognised me I wouldn't mind her coming over and saying hello.

Did have a friend on another site recognise me and start messaging saying that they knew me from rl but at first not saying who they were. Eventually after some fun teasing she let who she was and we have had some truly amazing times together.

For some reason, if someone was to recognize me, they wouldn't come say hi, they would message and tell me they seen me lol I wouldn't really both if it was me and Mr but if I was with someone else, friend family etc. I would deny everything ha-ha

"If you don't want recognised don't put your face up on this."

Its not the recognition that people would be bothered about, it's being approached that'd bother most folk
