Users profile completely disappeared

I was chatting to someone but now all there messages have gone. No trace of them. I know if they delete the account it tells you user is no longer there same as if the hide there profile it tells you but everything is completely fine. Any ideas what's going on ?

could they have been removed/blocked by admin if they have been reported by someone else?
