E.K . Glasgow

So I'm not really superstitious but when a car pulls out 10 yards in front of you on this day especially it makes you wonder if there's not something in it . ( stopped with a bit of a jolt myself and passenger OK other driver waved sheepishly and apologised lol ) . What daft things are you superstitious about ladders , cracked pavement ,spilling salt tell us all

I am not really superstitious but my Mum was. ..about allsorts and everything

Whistling was bad luck apparently

If you put down a handful of cutlery to set the table and there were 2 knives crossed it was bad luck

If she saw a single magpie she would say 'Good morning Mr Magpie'

If you put a bag containing new shoes on the table....

And on and on....

Was funny as well as driving us mad..

If you research about numerology you'll find 13 is actually a very powerful and magical number.

Definitely just superstitious nonsense, it's just a day.

I had great news today my dog doesn't have cancer, if that doesn't disprove the superstition I don't know what will

I'd never heard of this one before Friday, as it was explained on a show.

Apparently it only relates to being in stage, and comes from the fact that they used to use off-duty sailors to do the ropes.

If you whistled you stood a chance of them thinking they were back on the ship and releasing or pulling the ropes.
