Just wondering if anyone has advice or anything that would help with the nerves of attending cj's for the first time or if anyone else who hasn't been before had the same feeling?

Cjs is a realy relaxing night the social side is all down stairs with the fun upstairs. No obligation to participate. The only down side is the price for a single guy

It's nothing you'd expect. I'd say it's more like a house party.

Downstairs is where everyone drinks and chats.

Upstairs is where the main fun goes on.

Hey! As a single girl I would say socialise downstairs introduce yourself to as many folk. Maybe don't hang around like a bad smell in the corridors? Haha.

If you drink, have enough and know your limit. Don't be sleazy, friendly will be so much more appreciated. I know a girl who chatted with someone most of the night at CJs recently. She didn't play with him there but met him the next day for fun. It can be seen as a social if you're not lucky on the night so don't be disparaged.

Have fun, it's a great place. Oh and I'm nervous before every fab meet. If I wasn't nervous I'd stop doing it. Xx

Don't think I'd be drinking anyway, not on the first time going due to driving but it would calm any nerves! Not normally a nerves person but with most people knowing each other is the daunting bit lol

Most likely there for the social side first time round but getting lucky would be a bonus

How much is it for a single male?

Thanks for the input people

Totally agree with all of these tips. I was a single guy at CJ's once upon a time and the best advice I can give is don't be one of those guys lurking about on the upstairs landing waiting for something to happen! It's not a good look. Be yourself, chat to folk and just go with the flow.

Not saying you would do these things OP but here's some stuff we find very off-putting from single men.

Avoid standing around upstairs as it can come across as intimidating. If you want to visit the dungeon or open room that's fine, just ask before touching.

If you want to talk to a couple, talk to the couple. Don't try and single out the female when she's alone.

Socialising is best way - respect needs to be earned. Folks see how you interact socially are likely to be more trusting of you.

And there is no expectation of play in you dont want to and no frowning if you don't play. Fun takes many forms.

And be yourself - first time nerves are bad enough; no point in adding to your nerves by overselling yourself as it were.
